Celebrate Culture, Community & Wellness at UGAMI’s Community Farm Join us on August 2 for an afternoon of cultural celebration, health services, and family fun! Enjoy farm tours, traditional African dance, authentic Ugandan cuisine, wellness education, and free back-to-school immunizations. Open to all — bring your friends and neighbors!

62ND UGANDAN INDEPENDENCE AND EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS
During this event, community members will showcase their diverse cultural dances to the rhythm of Ugandan music. Additionally, we will conduct our executive elections for the 2024-2028 leadership term. Eligible voters must be registered UCOM members, at least 18 years old, and have resided in Michigan for two years. Membership fees are payable via the website. Attendance at events is open to everyone and to all diversities. Voting is restricted to paid up members only.

UCOM ELECTIONS 2024-2028
UCOM residents are urged to secure their membership before the 2024 executive elections to be eligible to vote. Membership fees are as listed above. To be able to vote, one has to be 18 years old, paid-up member and resided in Michigan for 2 years. Candidates are required to have a GED equivalent or an Ordinary Ugandan level of education (O' Level), be at least 18 years old, be registered and paid-up members of UCOM, and have resided in Michigan for two years. Nominations for candidates are currently open and will close on October 12th, 2024. You are encouraged to nominate your candidate before October 12th, 2024.

Fall Get Together
Join us for a UCOM Fall get-together and Independence Day celebration. This event is organized by the youth and supports them.

UCOM was proud to host a hands-on Engineering Skills Project led by Engineer Ben Omagor, bringing together youth and community members for an inspiring day of learning and exploration. Participants engaged with real-world engineering concepts, developed problem-solving skills, and gained exposure to career pathways in STEM.
